Geez that’s safe and quick! Stupid me was thinking of buying an air
tool..I’ve got 10 of them to install, can I employ you for two months to
install them? BTW, material loooks to thick for the rivnut!

the metal is very thin about 1 or 2 mm? if I stuck washers between the
nutsert and the metal would that stabilize the area and distribute the
force of the lift so the nutsert will have something to hold onto and not
    bend the surrounding material?

I bet I’m not the first to recommend you use a vice to hold the sample
piece. Love the idea of aluminium as I build aluminium boats where this
would work really well. Well done!!

hi, need a bit of advice, I have a 99 Camry that didn’t have lift supports,
I ordered some as I can install them with some pieces from a 2000 Camry.
the hole that I need to add thread to is very thin. would steel nutserts
hold if I stuck washers on the inside of the nutsert i.e. between the head
of the nutsert and the metal? a guy already tried it using a regular nut
and it actually bent the metal from the force of the lifts. if you wouldn’t
mind here’s the link to the thread

EMC, THANK YOU, I ruined a nutsert in an air conditioner we were installing
in an electrical control panel/enclosure. It happened yesterday at work,
and the due date on the build was today. Everyone was quite tense. Your
video saved my boss $3,600 (the cost of a new unit and probably saved my
job! We used this method to recrimp the nutsert that had become loose due
to over tightening. Worked perfectly and we made the due date and I looked
    great!! MANY THANKS!!!!!!

I guess it would have been a bit more impressive if you had held the piece
in a vise. Anyway – thanks for uploading.
